On December first Laird was awarded the "Building Public Trust Award for Executive Remuneration Reporting" for the FTSE 250.
This is an annual award ceremony hosted by PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP which recognises and celebrates the best reporting by UK listed companies and public sector bodies.
According to the judge's report, Laird consistently provides "detailed and clear remuneration reporting that clearly explains the decisions made by the Remuneration Committee, the business context and also the companys wider all-employee remuneration arrangements. The Chairmans letter includes an extensive but accessible discussion on the remuneration review undertaken during the year, including the review criteria and resulting changes. The judges were especially impressed by the useful at a glance section, which summarises information such as performance outcomes and includes charts showing an actual single figure versus the remuneration policy. Most of the important information is in very easy-to-follow charts, commented a judge. You can see clearly whats going on."
