Convoluted absorber foam
It is a moderately flexible urethane foam material having a front surface cut to a convoluted (egg-carton) shape. Because of the rounded convolutions and lack of sharp corners and points, Eccosorb CV is the preferred absorber for mm wave frequencies and for very wide incidence angles. There is no degradation in performance at incidence angles out to 60° off-normal.
Harsh environment free space absorber foam
Eccosorb ANW is the AN version recommended in situations where the absorber will come in contact with water, fuel, hydraulic fluids, or will be used outdoors.
Insertion loss flexible foam series
These foams achieve lossy behavior are available in a wide range of dielectric properties characterized by insertion loss along with different thicknesses for performance tuning. ECCOSORB LS is not weatherproof, but can be supplied with a special coating for outdoor use or where the absorber may come in contact with fuel, lubricants, or hydraulic fluids. ECCOSORB LS can be easily cut with a knife and held in place with a Pressure Sensitive Adhesive (PSA). ECCOSORB LS is used to absorb electromagnetic energy in a variety of applications. It can be used to line the interior of a cavity to lower its Q in RF amplifiers, oscillators, cabinets containing microwave devices, computer housings, or LNBs. It can also be used for the isolation of antennas by insertion loss.
Lightweight convoluted foam absorber
It has a convoluted shape similar to the Eccosorb CV material, but is made from a much more open cell foam material. This open structure allows the piece to be used at high humidity although long term exposure to water and UV should be avoided. For indoor higher power requirements, cooling air can be circulated through the foam structure, either by natural convection or by fan, to keep the temperature of the piece down. Because of the rounded convolutions and lack of sharp corners and tips, Eccosorb OCF is the preferred absorber for mm wave frequencies and for grazing incidence angles out to 60° off-normal. It s available in 2 thicknesses 7.5 cm ad 10 cm.
Multi layer gradient free space absorber sheet series
Products are made from polyurethane foam that is treated with special filler and assembled in a laminate construction to generate a controlled conductivity gradient. Each product in the series has its own low end cut-off frequency that forms the basis of selection based on operating frequency. Reflectivity reduction is at least 17 dB down for normal incident energy with the correct choice of ECCOSORB AN absorber. Examples for use are radar antenna nacelles, anechoic enclosures, antenna or target test mounts in radar ranges, and inside or outside horn antennas. ECCOSORB® AN is equally effective against linear, elliptical, or circular polarization, and relatively insensitive to incidence angles out to 70 degrees.
UL rated insertion loss foam
Similar in design yet stiffer in nature due to the flame-retardants used, ECCOSORB® QR-13AF will generally not dust or flake off. ECCOSORB® QR-13AF is designed for the suppression of cavity resonances in shielded high-frequency modules and the absorption of parasitic radiation emanating from high speed electronic circuits. It can be used to line the interior of a cavity to lower its Q in RF amplifiers, cabinets containing microwave devices or computer housings requiring a high UL rated absorber. It can also be used for the isolation of antennas by insertion loss.
